Clam Adaptations
One adaptation that clams have are their ability to reproduce. The male releases sperm into the ocean and the females get fertile this way. Another adaptation is they have little bristles on their shell to keep them in one place. These bristles act as an anchor for the clam. The last adaptation that some clams have a foot that helps them maneuver through the ocean and along the ocean floor.

Human Activity
Humans affect clams by hunting them for food and their shells. Clams are used in clam chowder and other sea food options. The shells of clams can be expensive when they are turned into decorations. Some can go up to $150.00. This affects the clam community by minimizing their species. The giant clams are almost extinct because people hunt them for their shells
Symbiotic Relationship
There is a symbiotic relationship between a giant clam and algae. Too much sun for algae can kill them so they stay in the clams mouth. In return, the algae help the clam with their stuff from photosynthesis.
Innate Behavior
Clams are not that active. All they really do is move across the ocean floor and eat. They reproduce every year around the summer time.
